API testing is validating backend services by sending requests and verifying responses without UI. I test methods like GET, POST, PUT, DELETE and validate status codes like 200, 201, 400, 401, 404, 500. I use Postman for manual testing where I check response body, headers, response time, and also perform negative testing like invalid inputs and unauthorized access.
